Eve

I blame Adam and not Eve

He had a mind of his own

Was it her fault to share

The fruit

With someone she holds dear?

If she is to blame for sin

Then where does he fit in?

He longed for knowledge

Was not courageous enough to grasp it

For an apple

She must bear reproof.

Was he not created first?

Should be able to weather the worst

The second made became his curse

The serpent struck

Eve tempted fate.

So bold and strong, she was the one

To ride uncharted waters

She beckoned Adam to join

His need for wisdom spurred him on

False pretense not to recognize the fruit

He is naked.
